I'm Sumaya, founder of Summit Exec and an Executive Assistant with over a decade of experience working at the highest levels of the public and private sector.
My career has taken me from supporting Joanne Rooney OBE — Chief Executive of Manchester City Council — to working embedded within a private technology consultancy, managing everything from executive administration and HR to CRM systems, back-office operations and company charity leadership.
Before that, I spent four years in family intervention and wrap-around care — working in high-pressure, emotionally complex environments where composure, discretion and clear thinking weren't optional. That experience shaped the way I work with every client: calm under pressure, deeply organised and always two steps ahead.
I hold a First Class degree in Psychology, which gives me a genuine edge in understanding how people communicate, what motivates them and how to navigate the interpersonal dynamics that sit behind every business decision.
I've also built and run my own business — so I understand what it feels like to be the person who has to hold everything together. That empathy is at the heart of everything Summit Exec does.
